Camp Courtney, Hendersonville, NC 2010

This year, the youth group went to the Take Back Your Life Youth Conference in North Carolina, sponsored by Door of Hope Ministries. It was an intense, but fun time for spiritual growth and renewal, with an average of two or three sessions a day. Session topics included: Identity in Christ, Finding God's Will, Living Under Authority, Honor, and more. There was also a variety of physical activities available, including volleyball, soccer, basketball, and mushball, also called Chicago softball. Click here to see pictures >

Costa Rica 2009

Early on the morning of the twenty-fourth of July, The youth group headed off to Costa Rica for ten days. We went through a mission group called Pura Vida Missions (pvmonline.org). After a few days training at the base, we headed out to a local village church where we did outreach, painted and added onto the church, acted out skits, and swam in the Costa Rican river. Camp Deerpark, NY 2008

Last summer the youth went back to New York for another week of work projects at Camp Deerpark, a camp for inner-city kids. Projects included reroofing a building, spliting wood, making curtains for the dining room, and building a fence for the garden.
