Welcome to
the Dayton Mennonite Church Web site, where you can learn of
congregational happenings, understand more of what we are about,
and find information on related ministries. If the information you want
is not here, or if we can assist you in some further way, feel free to
contact us.
Visitors are always especially welcome at our services, during which we
seek to worship Jesus Christ in meaningful and life-changing ways. Our
Sunday school, which provides Biblical instruction for all ages, begins
at 9:30 a.m. The morning worship service at 10:20 includes
congregational music, prayer and preaching, and the 7:00 evening service
(taking place most Sundays) consists of a variety of programs. On the 1st
and 3rd Wednesday evenings of the month, one or more house
fellowships meet in members' living rooms as we spend time seeking to
know the Lord and each other a bit better, finishing with refreshments.
Youth and young adult groups do much the same in their meetings, which
take place virtually every Wednesday night.
Our goal at Dayton Mennonite is to cultivate an intimate relationship
with Jesus Christ, who has provided salvation for us and is worthy of
our devotion, obedience and trust. "He gave Himself
for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a
special people, eager to do good works" (Titus
2:14).
